O nosso projeto europeu
No Ano Europeu para o
desenvolvimento, a Escola Profissional, através do Clube Europeu, desenvolveu
um plano de atividades destinado a promover o sentimento da pertença europeia.
Daí que logo no
início do ano formativo, no dia das Línguas, que se comemora no dia 29
de setembro, a Escola Profissional promoveu um Peddy-paper na cidade da Horta,
criando um percurso pelas ruas que são testemunho da presença de povos europeus
na nossa ilha.
Neste Ano Europeu
para o Desenvolvimento e sob o lema ‘o nosso mundo, a nossa dignidade o nosso
futuro’, a Escola Profissional propôs diversas atividades que visam melhorar o
relacionamento intercultural e foi premiada com o terceiro prémio de
financiamento a nível nacional. Assim, pretendemos promover o contacto de
jovens de diferentes países europeus, para que, trocando testemunhos se possam
conhecer e respeitar a cultura de cada um. Tivemos como grande objetivo unir
jovens geograficamente distanciados, criando um espaço em que se sentissem
livres para mostrar aspetos do seu mundo que, afinal também é o nosso mundo, a
Europa.. Surgiu, assim, a ideia de dar
uma nova vida ao jornal da Escola e torná-lo um veículo de partilha
intercultural. Para isso, o nosso Ipsis
Verbis volta a assumir a sua edição bilingue que esteve na sua génese.
Neste ano formativo,
abrimos as portas ao mundo, criando formas de unir pessoas de países distantes.
Por outro lado, trabalhámos dentro da nossa comunidade, promovendo o
relacionamento mais próximo e propiciando a harmonia cultural, esperando que o
nosso projeto influencie o maior número de pessoas.

Our European Project
In the European Year for Development, our school, through its European
Club, organised a plan of activities aiming at promoting the feeling of
European belonging.
Therefore in the beginning of the school year, on September 29th
2014, we celebrated the International Day of Languages, with a peddy-paper around our city, Horta, leading the participants through the
streets which are testimonies of the presence of European people in our island.
In this European year for the development and under the motto ‘our
world, our dignity, our future’, the Professional School suggested a series of
activities which goal was to improve the intercultural relationship and was
awarded with a financing third national prize.
In this way, we wanted to promote the contact among young people from
different European countries, so that, by exchanging experiences and opinions,
we may all know and respect each other’s cultures. Our main goal was to unite
young people geographically apart, by creating a space where they could feel
free to express their feelings about their world, which is after all our own
world, Europe. And then the wish of giving a new life to our school paper Ipsis Verbis became a reality, and it
became a vehicle of intercultural exchange. Therefore, Ipsis Verbis assumed its bilingual edition which was the original
purpose of our school paper.
In this school year, we opened our gates to the world, by creating means
of bringing together people from distant countries, united by the fact of being
European. On the other hand, we also worked within doors, promoting a narrow
relationship and fostering the intercultural harmony in our community, hoping
that our project may influence the life of numerous people.
