Young people talk about…
young people
In
our opinion young people are strongly concerned about their appearance,
especially worried about what the others think about them. Some kids wear
clothes which their parents can hardly afford, but they feel forced to buy
because they want their children to look as good as or even better than the
others.
In
the old days, teenagers used to play with other kids and didn’t worry so much
about what to wear or about what the others thought about them. Nowadays, kids
don’t want to go outside and play; instead they remain in their houses, playing
computer games or surfing the net.
As a
conclusion, we can say this lifestyle is not good to society: people don’t talk
to each other anymore… at least face to face. We believe that young people
should open their minds and leave technology aside and find other hobbies where
they could spend some quality time with other people.

Amaral, Lisa Abreu, Tiago Borges
In
our opinion, young people talk about games, music, movies, cars and clothes.
On
one hand, boys prefer talking about motorbikes, cars and games; on the other
hand, girls talk about music, movies and mainly about clothes and shoes… they
talk about it every day.
We
think young people are influenced by games, movies, tv programmes, music stars,
movie stars and most of all by their peers.
In
our opinion friends have a great influence concerning addictions and
lifestyles. Unfortunately the most dangerous ones are drugs and alcohol, which
many young people feel attracted regardless what bad effects they may have in
their lives.
As a
conclusion we can say that young people don’t seem to be as complicated as some
people say.

Being
tolerant is not easy. It is hard, but it’s a very important attitude to have
and a value that all of us, young people and adults, must respect.
Only
by being tolerant, we are able to live in a peaceful world and, especially in
peace with ourselves.
From
the point of view of society, tolerance is the ability of a person or social group
to accept another person or social group, which has a different attitude from
the ones which rules their own group.
Being
more tolerant is much easier than we might think. The best way to exercise this
attitude is to put ourselves in someone else’s shoes.
It
is necessary to realise why such a person acts in such a way, the causes and
consequences that were inherent in such behaviours. Being tolerant is not an
unconditional acceptance of everything. Being tolerant means being able to
choose how you want to feel.
Being
tolerant requires self knowledge, discipline, attention and love for oneself.
Artur Alves, Dário Melo
In
our opinion, young people just want to enjoy life, play games, drive, be with
friends, smoke, drink, fall in love,…
Once
we are going to grow up and will not have the chance to enjoy life, because of
work, family and social obligations, why shouldn’t we have fun while we can?
Consequently, we think that we need to enjoy life but with consciousness and
responsibility to make the right choices.
